Spring is here and we are excited about going out for some great runs! Boston is a fabulous running town. Not only home to the World’s oldest and most prestigious marathon, Boston also offers beautiful scenery. Here are three suggested routes; we hope you enjoy them!
CHARLES RIVER RUN – Beautiful views, easy to follow
Directions: Left out of the hotel, Right onto Arlington St., Cross diagonally to the left over Beacon St., Turn right and cross over the foot bridge to the Esplanade and continue straight to the Charles river, Run to the left along the river, Cross the first bridge (Mass Ave.), After bridge turn right and run along the river past the Longfellow Bridge, Turn right at the next bridge passing the Museum of Science, Turn right and run along the river, Pass the Hatch Shell, immediately after, Cross the foot bridge and retrace steps back to the hotel.
PARKS & BOSTON HARBOR RUN
Directions: Left out of the hotel, Right onto Arlington St., Right onto Beacon St. Follow Beacon St. along the parks, past the Gold Domed State house, Left onto Tremont St., Right onto Court St which turns into State St., Turn right at the water front and run along the water’s edge, Pass the Seaport Blvd bridge, At the next bridge turn right onto Congress St., Turn left onto Franklin St. which turns into Bromfield St., Turn left onto Tremont St. Run along the edge of the parks turning Right onto Boylston and back to the hotel.
BOSTON MARATHON RUN – City run with 2 miles along Marathon route, including crossing finish line
Directions: Left out of the hotel, Right onto Arlington St., Left onto Beacon St., Follow approximately 1 mile to Kenmore Sq. and bear right onto Commonwealth Ave., Follow approximately .75 miles and turn left onto St. Paul St., Follow approximately .5 miles and turn left onto Beacon St., Now you are on the Marathon Route, Follow Beacon St. approximately 1 mile to Kenmore Sq., bear right onto Commonwealth Ave., after passing Massachusetts Ave., Turn right onto Hereford St., Turn Left onto Boylston St. Follow Boylston St. crossing over the Boston Marathon finish line between Exeter and Dartmouth St. and continue onto the hotel.
